Made for Sequential Art
Bold Color & Sharp Lines
Our printing process captures fine linework and saturated colors with precision, ensuring your art looks as dynamic on the page as it does on screen.
Bleed-to-Edge Printing
Full-bleed printing lets your art extend to the very edge of the page for immersive, cinematic panel layouts with no white borders.
Multiple Format Options
From single-issue comics to collected trade paperbacks and deluxe hardcover editions, we print every format the graphic novel market demands.
Graphic novels and comics are a unique fusion of visual art and storytelling, and printing them requires a press partner who understands both. At Origin Books, we have deep experience producing sequential art in every format, from slim single-issue floppies to thick collected hardcovers.
Our printing process is tuned for the demands of graphic storytelling: saturated colors, crisp linework, full-bleed pages, and bindings that let readers enjoy spreads without losing art in the gutter. Whether you are an independent creator launching a new series or a publisher producing a collected edition, we deliver the print quality your art demands.
Graphic Novel Printing FAQ
What paper stock is best for graphic novels?
Most graphic novels use 80lb or 100lb coated matte or gloss stock for vibrant color and smooth page feel. For a more literary or indie aesthetic, uncoated stock provides a softer look. We can send paper samples to help you decide.
Can you print single-issue comics as well as trade paperbacks?
Yes. We print single-issue comics with saddle-stitch binding, trade paperbacks with perfect binding, and deluxe editions with hardcover case binding. We can also produce variant covers and limited editions.
How do you handle color accuracy for artwork?
We work in CMYK and offer digital and hard-copy proofs so you can verify color accuracy before the full run. For critical projects, we can do a press check where you approve color in real time during printing.
